Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - Movie

    20th November 2005

    movies / reviews

I must admit, I haven’t read a single Harry Potter book, yet alone queue at a bookstore at 12am just to get the first copy! But I’ve seen three out of the total four films. And I think the newest one which was out last Friday has been the best I’ve seen so far!

I’m not too keen on the idea that a 12 14 year old kid gets to save the day everytime, but the plot was good and the filming was done well with CGI coming to rescue! Being a fan of mythical creatures, I particularly enjoyed watching the Romanian Dragon (those who’ve read the book know what I’m talking about) chase Harry on his broom around Hogwarts and breathe fire at him! There is adventure, but there is a dark plot brewing alongside which (as always) get revealed at the end! And let’s not forget the mysterious teacher, who always gets up to no good!

The cinema was packed with young and older people, which I was surprised to see; and it was funny to see a group cheer and clap just as the film’s certificate (12A) and it’s name were shown! And the same thing happened just as the film finished! Some people are really fanatical about film!
