Tapping to find your song name!

What I'd like to know is how they can find the song from taps! Do they have a "tap database" of all the known (or famous) songs? According to the website, the idea for this comes from Geoff Peters, who is a computer science student and jazz musician in Canada! In addition, Geoff and his group presented the idea at the AAAI conference last year, with a paper on it coming soon!

Looking at it from an ordinary point of view (ie. not caring about the recognition behind it), this will come in handy when you have a song in your head, but can't remember who it's from, or even the lyrics! You can also find a Google module for it, if you use the google personalised homepage.
