Newsvine opens to the public...

3rd March 2006

general / internet

I'v been a beta user of Newsvine for a while now and I must say, I love it! The day's big news is there, along with comments from its users. The Featured Writers Column is also another favourite of mine, as you get read stories from other users' point of view.

So, now Newsvine is open to the public, and I hope it will attract quality users interested in news, whether political, technology related or sport. Co-founder Mike Davidson explains more in his post about the public release. Some features and improvements for the future are explained and discussed. I've very much enjoyed using (beta testing) Newsvine so far, and look forward to seeing it become bigger and better! Also, I'm impressed that after being in beta for 8 weeks, it is now open to the world! I actually hate going to these websites who are in beta for the past year or so!

Just registered on newsvine. I have been using digg and reddit for sometime now but this one seems much better. I don't know how people used to make sense of internet without RSS aggregators and aggregating sites.
