Google Maps - Mission to Mars

15th March 2006

internet

Google has added it's first map of a Solar Planet to the google maps. Although, don't forget that some time ago, a map of the moon was added, which also gave details of the lunar landings!

The map of Mars is, in my opinion, more interesting than the moon map, as it provides detailed information of its mountains, craters, plaines and more (including landings). If you are interested, it also links to articles where you can find out more! The only missing thing is the green martians! Don't miss the 27km high Olympus Mons in the picture by the way! Very impressive!
